  LANGUAGE ARTS 6 In working through the Vocabulary Workshop units, I will assign sections as follows to make it easier for students to complete:
Section A=Synonyms
Section B=Antonyms
Each word will be used only one time in Sect. A and B combined
Section C=Choosing the Right Word
Section D=Vocabulary in Context
Section E=Completing the Sentence
I will let students know if they may redo the sections in the Vocab Wksp unit for a higher grade(it will get the score up to 80%). The redoing needs to be completed before we have our quiz.
Redoing Quizzes:
On the quizzes, they will need to set up a time with me for redoing and I ask that it be done before we finish the next unit. The students will be taking a DIFFERENT test than the first one on a redo--it's the same words, it's the same basic set-up but it isn't the same TEST. Therefore, they will need to go back and study the words in the unit before I'll let them take it a second time. If the score on the redo is less than the original, the original stands. If the score is higher, it's an average that will be entered (i.e. 14 on the first, 16 on the second--15 would be the score entered into the grading program.)
