Please note that the availability of homework for your student does NOT mean that students must complete it while feeling ill. For the health and safety of all staff and students we ask parents to use their best judgment on sending a student to school when they are not feeling 100%.

Homework and Make-Up Procedures

Homework assignments may vary per grade level, teacher judgment, or specific learning activities. You can get specific information about homework expectations from your child's teacher at PIN (Parent Information Night) or you can speak to the teacher directly.

When your child is ill….

The first priority is helping your child get well.

When your child is able, contact the office and request that make-up work be prepared. In most cases if the request is made by 9:30 a.m., the work will be available by 2:30 p.m. that same day.

When your child is on vacation….
Please notify the principal in writing prior to your planned vacation requesting an excused absence. Contact your child's teacher regarding any homework that may need to be completed during the child's absence.
