Eligibility:

To be eligible for food shelf services, client must:

  • Have an established need
  • Live in the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf service area: New Brighton, Mounds View, Shoreview, Arden Hills, Northern Roseville or Ramsey County St. Anthony

How to set up an appointment:

We are open Monday through Friday by appointment (day and evening appointments available). Please call the food shelf appointment line at 651-621-7451 anytime between 9:00 am to noon to schedule your appointment.

What to bring:
  • Picture id (ex: driver's license)
  • Current piece of mail for each adult in the house (proof of residency)
  • Identification on children (ex: social security cards, birth certificates, or medical id cards).
 
What to expect:
Food shelf clients will meet with a food shelf staff member on their first visit and fill out basic household information regarding income and assistance. Food will be received the same day. Clients are eligible to use the food shelf once every 30 days, or earlier, if approved by a food shelf staff member. Each person receives approximately 5 to 7 days worth of nutritionally balanced food (including meats and milk), personal hygiene items, and cleaning supplies, along with additional resources, and referrals to other low income programs and services. A typical family of four will receive approximately 100 pounds of food.

  • Good Neighbor Back to school Project (school supplies)
  • Thanksgiving Bags
  • Operation Joy (holiday toy and gift program)
  • Short Term Case Management
  • Clothing referrals
  • County Application Assistance (Food Stamps, Medical, Energy)
  • Nutrition Demonstrations and other Workshops

Please use Door 13 Entrance (west side of building)
 
Directions:
  • From 694, go north on Silver Lake Road to 14th Street, turn right on 14th Street and go to the Pike Lake Education Center at 2101-NW 14th Street.
  • From Mounds View, Go South on Silver Lake to 14th Street, turn left on 14th Street and go to the Pike Lake Education Center at 2101-NW 14th Street.
