Instructional and Supervisory Paraprofessionals
Students at Island Lake School come in contact with many adults other than their regular teachers during the school day. On the playground, in the lunchroom and in small group sessions, paraprofessionals supervise students to ensure a safe, caring and nurturing environment.

Special Education and STAGES
Students who require special education services at Island Lake School benefit from working closely with an adult throughout the day. In most cases, the goal is for the student to develop in such a way that they are self-sufficient, however, a specially-trained adult is always near.
