Scholarship

Scholarship for National Honor Society students refers to excellence in academics. At Mounds View, Honor Society students must have a cumulative weighted grade point average of 3.5 and must maintain that average while a member of the National Honor Society.

Leadership

Leadership is demonstrated by resourcefulness, dependability, and reliability. Leaders demonstrate initiative in promoting school activities and are forerunners in the classroom, at work, and in school or community activities.

Service

Service is demonstrated outside the classroom. Volunteerism and altruism define service activities. Taking an active, positive role in the community and in the school are defining factors for students as they display service.

Character

Character is demonstrated by students who uphold principles of morality and ethics. They demonstrate the highest standards of honesty and reliability. Qualities of students should include cheerfulness, friendliness, poise and stability.
