Dear Parents / Guardians:

As you may know, Mounds View High School is experiencing student absences from what appears to be influenza-like illness. Please note:

• If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or more, along with either a cough or sore throat, please keep your child at home until 24 hours after the fever is gone without the use of fever-reducing medicine.
• Students with these symptoms should not attempt to participate in any after-school activities.
• If students are ill, yet capable of keeping current with schoolwork, teachers are prepared to provide homework assignments in alternative methods. Please check teacher's websites for assignment updates.
• All students who are not experiencing any of the above symptoms are expected to attend school.
• All families should have a plan in the event they cannot return to school the next day, or in the unlikely event that the school is closed. This plan should include becoming familiar with Mounds View's plan for making homework assignments available in alternative forms.
