Homework Information for Absent Students

Please note that the availability of homework for your student does NOT mean that students must complete it while feeling ill. For the health and safety of all staff and students we ask parents to use their best judgement on sending a student to school when they are not feeling 100%.

Homework Rescue from the Ramsey County Libraries:

Ramsey County Libraries have teamed together to create a site with live one-on-one tutors for FREE. All you need is a valid Ramsey County Library card to create a username and a computer with internet access. The homework tutors are available for all core subjects K-12, test skills, and additional basic skill-building. Spanish speaking tutors are available for all subjects.

VALENTINE HILLS HOMEWORK POLICIES

Each grade level and instructional group will base homework expectations on their students' developmental abilities and academic standards
Students will generally be given a period of time equal to their absence to complete make-up work.
Please contact the office or your student's homeroom teacher before 9:10 AM to arrange for homework pick-up later that afternoon- it will usually be ready at the end of the school day.
Please indicate If you believe your child will be absent for two or more days, and teachers will try to gather homework for some future activities. **Please note that sometimes copies have not been made for future activities so it will take additional time to gather homework for multiple days.
Some activities are classroom based and may not be able to be replicated- teachers may substitute other resources or exempt students from some activities until they return.
